Save Those Travel Memories and Relive Them Again!
Spring is fast approaching! Spring break where we live in Jacksonville, Florida actually starts this Monday! Do you have your spring travel plans set?

The excitement of planning and then taking the trip is fantastic! And, in my opinion, intentionally reminiscing and thinking back on a vacation is incredibly fun as well! While strolling on social media, I came across a post detailing a way to keep track of your memories throughout the year and then revisit them on New Year’s Eve and I thought it could be a great way to keep track of vacation memories too!
To track your vacation memories, after each getaway or vacation write a highlight from the trip on a strip of paper and then place it into a jar. And then on New Year’s Eve, open the jar, read the paper strips, and enjoy all of the travel highlights from the past year! We’re actually using construction paper for our notes, a different color for each of us and we’ve already started collecting our travel highlights as I mentioned during our video when we visited Daytona Aquarium and Rainforest Adventure in Daytona Beach, Florida during their grand opening.
Add in even more fun by modifying this activity however you’d like! You can draw pictures instead of writing or jot down your notes on a rock and collect those in a jar, to name a couple of examples. Keep in mind that this activity doesn’t need to just be confined to travel; collect your favorite memories from special occasions like weddings, birthday parties, and graduations too! You can even collect memories from movie nights, game nights, and more informal occasions!
